Case Manager/Therapist
Job Description
The case manager/therapist for YWCA Women’s Resource Center is to provide case management services for sexual assault and domestic violence victims efficiently and effectively, offering the highest quality of service and ensuring all YWCA standards and requirements are met. The position supports, advances, and enhances YWCA Metro St. Louis mission, goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements group therapy programs and education workshops for sexual assault and domestic violence clients.
- Assess clients’ needs and develop individualized case plans.
- Develops and maintains a supportive, therapeutic relationship with clients
- Provides case management services for group clients and individual clients.
- Provides phone follow-up and case management services to crisis intervention clients that are to begin within IO days of intake and provide support, advocacy and resources to victims.
- Supports therapy clients on the current waitlist with case management services and resources.
- Consults with community partners to ensure maximum utilization of resources and avoid duplication of services.
- Instructs health care, social service professionals, police officers in sexual assault issues and response strategies.
- Complies and submits monthly statistical information to comply with grant and funding requirements.
- Regularly attends agency meetings.
- Attends community and professional meetings as needed and pertinent to the position and program.
Formal Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree required. LMSW preferred.
- Experience in social services/mental health field required.
